Can Work Be Fun?  How to Improve the Company’s Culture

      This workshop will explore the place fun has at work. Why it is important to have a fun culture and how it relates to the bottom line of your company.  Many ideas will be reviewed that managers can use to make the culture in your work place more engaging including: forming a Pep club, making meetings more productive, and events that stimulate a fun corporate culture. 

     We will also explore the role that personal attitudes have in your company’s culture and steps you can take as an individual to make your work day more enjoyable. This workshop will encourage audience participation.

The Presenter:

Mark S. Miller

      Mark is an Associate Professor of Business at Carthage College. Previous to teaching he was employed at Case/CNH for 31 years concentrating in purchasing and supply chain management.

      Mark has more than 30 published articles, written chapters in two books and written his Vietnam memoirs “My Confession’s from Vietnam”.  He has presented workshops at thirteen International Conferences and has been the speaker at numerous local chapter Professional Development Meetings.

      His education includes an MBA from UW- Parkside and is certified by APICS and the Institute of Supply Management.

     Mark is married with two grown daughters and two grandsons.
