President's Report
It’s Spring!
Well, I’m just going to keep saying that until it actually happens.
At least we got to spring forward this past weekend and move our clocks ahead.
We at your local APICS chapter would also like to help you move your career ahead. APICS is the place to find opportunities to learn and grow in your supply chain or operations career. Take a look through the newsletter, we have a professional development meeting coming up soon and hope to see you there. Use events like this to network, learn and expand your career.
There will be meetings, classes, events and opportunities going forward. We will also be lining up volunteers and BOD members for next year. Start planning now on how you want to move forward. Let a BOD member know how we can help you. Your input and participation will make RAKE APICS an even stronger chapter.
APICSly yours,
Phil Cwik, CPIM
President RAKE APICS

Certifications
Are you interested in advancing your career by continuing your supply chain education? Consider the APICS certifications for:
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
- Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
- Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD)
CSCP focus is on the end-to-end supply chain. It looks at topics relevant to your own organization as well as your customers and your suppliers. CPIM, alternatively, is more focused in-house on topics that include materials management, master scheduling, forecasting and production planning. CLTD is also more focused within logistics, transportation, and distribution. Learn more at APICS.ORG
For more information on our class offerings, including the latest schedule & pricing, please visit our website RAKEAPICS.ORG and click on ‘Education.’ Our intent is to offer certification review courses for each of these certifications. Please email us if you are interested and when we have enough interest to hold a class, we will schedule the dates.
