President's Report

What’s happening with APICS?  You are what’s happening with APICS.  APICS is now part of a larger organization, the Association for Supply Chain Management, ASCM.  You are a member of ASCM and you are also a member of Racine/Kenosha APICS.  ASCM will continue to grow and bring more value and recognition to APICS certifications.  And your local Racine/Kenosha APICS chapter would also like to grow and bring more value to you!  We’ve got a lot of exciting things going on in our neighborhood.  Are you staying current?  Is your network strong?  Are you keeping your finger on the pulse of the community?  Are you ready to rise to the opportunities that could be right around the corner?  We can offer you opportunities to learn, grow, collaborate and participate, all in your local community.  Step up to the plate, get involved, get certified, and be ready for tomorrow.  We’re counting on you!!

Best regards,

Phil Cwik, CPIM

Are you interested in advancing your career by continuing your supply chain education?  Consider the APICS certifications for:

  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
  • Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD)

CSCP focus is on the end-to-end supply chain. It looks at topics relevant to your own organization as well as your customers and your suppliers. CPIM, alternatively, is more focused in-house on topics that include materials management, master scheduling, forecasting and production planning.  CLTD is also more focused within logistics, transportation, and distribution.  Learn more at APICS.ORG

For more information on our class offerings, including the latest schedule & pricing, please visit our website RAKEAPICS.ORG and click on ‘Education.’  Our intent is to offer certification review courses for each of these certifications. Please email us if you are interested and when we have enough interest to hold a class, we will schedule the dates.
